Bullies and Bullied: A Quick Help Book for Kids Reviews

I purchased this book for my daughter who is being bullied at school. If you read self help books on bullying this book basically has the same information. One story about a child being bullied at home so he bullies at school. The story never solves the problem of why his older sister bullies him and how to fix the problem at home only helps the boy at school, where he's not a good reader. We have to remember not all bullies are the same. I don't like the fact that the book suggests if you're being bullied you should leave and find another school, to get away from the bully?? The bullied child is being punished because what, they can't handle being bullied. I don't agree with this... Why can't the book suggest that we remove the bull from the school?? Instead of punishing the child that's being bullied. So many books and DVD's Trevor Romaine I find very helpful on bullying situation....

My 2 1/2 year-old is just getting introduced to superhero's, and Iron Man is his favorite. The Super Hero Squad books seemed appropriate for the toddler to pre-school age group, so I purchased this book, Iron Man Springs Into Action!, along with the other available SH Squad books. I must say, although I know that this book is only for little kids, the title is misleading when it says Iron Man springs into action. There is no action at all. Essentially, it is just Iron Man gathering the other super heros. Having also purchased the book "Meet the Super Hero Squad", which introduces each of the heroes, this seemed very redundant. I was expecting a little more focus on Iron Man, such as seeing him save people, stop bad guys, or even just show off his powers a little. Nope, just one picture of him on the first page followed by pages of the other heros. My 2-year old lost interest by the second read-through.

My 4.5 year old son loves Marvel characters and Iron Man is one of his favorites. He is also learning to read and this series of Super Hero Squad books is a lot of fun for the age group with nice stories constructed in easy to read language. This is NOT a comic per se, but more of an early reader that a young grom can read alone or with a parent for fun.

I purchased this book for my 5 year old home schooled son who wants to do crafts all the time. Of course Mom doesn't always have the time for another craft so this book has been great. The projects are easy and take very little if any instruction from Mom. The projects also help reinforce things he is learning during school time such as spelling, matching, using scissors, following directions, etc.
The book gives a list of needed items in the front cover such as glue, tape, scissors, etc. Occasionally the book calls for yarn or other items not listed in the front but they are usually items that are easy to find around the house.
I have put together a plastic box with a lid which I added glue sticks, kid scissors, tape, crayons, paper and a few craft books including The Never-Bored Kid Book Ages 4-5, I Can Draw Animals and I Can Draw People (The two latter are by Usborne). I added a few more books but his favorite is the Never-Bored Kid Book. Then the I Can... Read more

love the book my son can do a lot of the stuff independently which is nice. There is some stuff that requires my help so it is a nice mix. My son loves to cut and glue so the book is perfect for him. I am actually thinking about ordering the next one up.

My kids have really enjoyed this book. I have a 5 year old (son) and a 7 year old (daughter) and they each have one for their age range. It's perfect for rainy days when they can't get outside. What makes me especially happy is that my 5 year old, who often balks at practicing reading, writing, or doing anything else that might look like "work" is always happy to sit down with his Never Bored Book for a half an hour or so. And while he's busy not being bored, he's also busy learning. I highly recommend this book. Now I'm off to look for Volume 2 (if it really exists).
