It it filled with interesting facts about each of the presidents - one page for each in an easy to read format. She kept telling me something she had learned about them. It may not get into the deep meaning of each presidency but it peaked her interest to learn more. She also is now familiar with the names and order of them. I plan to get her the Everything Book about the First Ladies as I'm sure that will be just as fascinating to her. 7 of 9 people found the following review helpful This review is from: The Everything Kids' Presidents Book: Puzzles, Games and Trivia - for Hours of Presidential Fun (Paperback) I was annoyed to read the author's view of George W. Bush. He called Pres. Bush arrogant and listed one of his nicknames as "Incurious George." I have never heard anyone refer to him as "Incurious George." However, his review of Jimmy Carter, who can arguably be considered one of our Nations' worst Presidents, described Pres. Carter as a "committed man of peace." Carter lost re-election bascially because he was incompetent! Mr. Thorton, if you want to write books aimed at children, please be a little better at hiding your liberal bias. 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful By This review is from: The Everything Kids' Presidents Book: Puzzles, Games and Trivia - for Hours of Presidential Fun (Paperback) I purchased EVERYTHING KIDS' PRESIDENTS BOOK: PUZZLES, GAMES AND TRIVIA-FOR HOURS OF PRESIDENTIAL FUN for my seven-year-old granddaughter's birthday. She and her dad have been excited about learning about the presidents. The only problem seems to be that whenever one is looking for the book, the other is reading it. Could it be that I should have purchased the same book for each? I plan to buy other titles in the series. |
