Each day's devotion is a story with a topic to which kids can relate. It is comparable to other children's devotionals such as The One Year Book of Devotions for Kids. The book is divided into themes, including Walking with Jesus, Honesty, Worry, Loving Your Family, Trials, etc. Each page contains a verse, several simple paragraphs that interpret the verse and a short prayer. I believe this book can be enjoyed by children of all ages, although the reading level is probably more appropriate for children in the latter elementary grades through middle school. Our two children often take turns reading the devotions to our family and then we discuss how we can apply the meaning to our own life. This is a very helpful book for learning about God's Word. |
