I suddenly felt the impulse to share them all fifty states and teach them exactly whose faces show up on Mount Rushmore.Mount, what? Yeah, we have a lot of work to do. Brian Thornton has done every expat American mom a favor by actually making learning such things fun. In The Everything Kids' States Book, we've learned the oddest trivia (the majority of limestone used in US buildings stems from southern Indiana) with at-a-glance descriptions of Everything you've ever wanted to know and then some. The friendly format, puzzles, quizzes and colorful pages are a must-have for every kid who might not know how great America truly is! Christine Louise Hohlbaum, author of DIARY OF A MOTHER and SAHM I AM: TALES OF A STAY-AT-HOME MOM IN EUROPE, lives with her husband and two children near Munich, Germany. 3 of 3 people found the following review helpful Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: The Everything Kids' States Book: Wind Your Way Across Our Great Nation (Paperback) I bought this and the Presidents book for my son's 9th birthday, he loves fun facts so this was perfect to go with his wall maps we also bought him. Each night we would pick a state or two and read about it. It's always fun to see what someone else thinks is fun about your own state too. 3 of 3 people found the following review helpful By This review is from: The Everything Kids' States Book: Wind Your Way Across Our Great Nation (Paperback) nice layout, could have used better quality paper and more color print, but all in all a good series of books, great for older kids. |
