It is the BEST single guide to the wonderous world of trees....for all ages. It explains the what, where, and why of not only trees, but their flowers, feeding systems, ancestry, and roles in society, with the most beautiful illustrations. And while it's simple enough for youg children to follow, it's a perfect primer for an urban adult who has forgtten about the magic of the woods. I will never look at Central Park in the same way again. Buy a copy for every child in your life, and every parent, and grandparent as well. After reading this book, we will all not only have more respect for the trees around us, we'll each run out and find a way to plant one. A wide variety of trees covered here, types found throughout the U.S. Parents will learn just as much as kids from reading this.
